AMM 18

Your local NHS Trust is inviting members of the public to hear about how it has performed over the last year at its Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM) 2018.

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust’s AMM takes place from 1.30pm on 18 July at Rotherham Hospital and is open to anyone who has an interest in local health services. It will detail some of the Trust’s significant achievements and developments as well as the challenges it has faced over the last 12 months.

At the meeting, the Trust’s Chairman, Martin Havenhand and Board of Directors will present the Trust’s Annual Report and Accounts for 2017/18 alongside its 2018/19 operational plan, future plans and priorities. The Board will also share key highlights from 2017/18 including the successes of the Trust’s award winning employees and services, the opening of the state-of-the-art Urgent and Emergency Care Centre and their progress in new and integrated ways of working.

Martin Havenhand said: “Like many Trusts across the country it has been a challenging year both operationally and financially. However, as a result of the collaborative work we continue to undertake with our partners across Rotherham and the wider region, we have been able to make some really positive changes for the population we serve.

“In October last year, we were privileged to welcome HRH The Duke of Kent who officially opened our new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre which was developed in partnership with NHS Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group. During the last year, we have also evaluated our locality pilot where we have been working in a more integrated way to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and we’ll be looking at how we can further implement this across Rotherham.

“Our Annual Members’ Meeting provides the ideal opportunity to hear first-hand about our achievements, overall performance and the challenges we continue to face. We are committed to delivering our vision to be an outstanding Trust, providing excellent healthcare at home, in our community and in hospital, and I encourage those who are interested to come along on the 18 July to find out more.”

Alongside the meeting, a health fair will take place where teams from across the Trust will showcase the work they do and share information about the services they provide for patients.

The full agenda for the day is:

- 12.00pm to 1.15pm: Presentations delivered by our colleagues describing exciting developments within our services
- 1.30pm-3pm: Annual Members’ Meeting – presentation of annual report and accounts, report from our external auditors and plans for 2018/19 and beyond
- 3.15pm-4.15pm: Health Fair showcasing a range of our health services
