Members of the public are invited to find out more about NHS health services in Rotherham at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust‘s Annual Members’ Meeting.
The Trust, which runs services at Rotherham Hospital, Rotherham Community Health Centre, BreathingSpace, in patients’ homes and in other locations across the community will hold the meeting on 8 July in Rotherham Hospital’s Lecture Theatre.
Similar to an AGM (annual general meeting), the session provides the opportunity for the Trust’s board of directors to present the organisation’s annual report and accounts. At the meeting board members will highlight key achievements from the past year, outline aspects of the organisation’s strategy and priorities and there will be the opportunity to ask questions.
Martin Havenhand, Chairman of TRFT, commented: “Myself and the board of directors are keen to welcome as many of the local population as possible at this meeting at which we will share how we have performed over the last twelve months. We will also share examples of the great work our colleagues do for patients and outline how we are continuously making improvements to the healthcare services we provide to the Rotherham Community.
“We see the annual members’ meeting as an opportunity to speak about how we are facing the challenges being an NHS organisation brings and how we intend to move services forward over the coming years. I look forward to meeting members of our community at the meeting.”
Members of the public are invited to attend the annual members meeting from 1pm where a range of healthcare professionals such as the Trust’s lead dementia nurse, safeguarding teams and voluntary and charity services will be on hand to give more information about advancements in their areas. The formal annual members meeting presentations will begin at 2pm delivered by the Board of Directors, The Trust’s Governors will also be present at the event to meet attendees and to discuss their work alongside the board of directors.
