Every day children are subjected to sexual exploitation. The effects this can have on their lives and their family’s lives are devastating and irreparable.
A national working group has come together to inform, educate and prevent this form of child sexual abuse within the UK and on Wednesday 18 March partners from across Rotherham and nationally will join together to raise awareness of CSE. Click here to read more about the work being done nationally.
You can show your support to the national awareness day by signing up to Rotherham’s Standing Together Campaign: http://rotherhamstandingtogether.org.uk/ or by posting a selfie of your thoughts, written on your hand, on Twitter tagging the national social media campaign #helpinghands. Don’t forget to tag the Trust too @RotherhamNHS_FT so that we can see your support.
At TRFT we recognize our responsibility in protecting young people in our community, and on Wednesday 18 March the Trust’s safeguarding colleagues will host information points in the main entrance of Rotherham Hospital and at Rotherham Community Health Centre where members of the public can found out more about how we can all prevent CSE and support those who have been affected.
