Extreme Pressures in A&E at Rotherham Hospital

11 Nov 2014 11:56:28

Rotherham Hospital is currently under extreme pressures with a high volume of patients attending Accident and Emergency. The general public are reminded to choose well when accessing health care and only attend Accident and Emergency in the case of an Emergency (serious illness and major injuries). Making the right choice about where to get help when you need it will ensure you receive the best possible treatment, allowing busy services such as A&E to concentrate on helping those most in need. If you think you need urgent advice and treatment when your GP surgery is closed, ring your GP number and you will be transferred to the out-of-hours service. Alternatively you can call NHS 111 for fast medical advice 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
