Fundraising is a great way to support the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity, but there are other ways you can support us to continue to help The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust provide the best care for our patients and their families.
Leave a legacy or remember someone in your will
Three quarters of Britons regularly give to charity in their lifetimes, yet only 6% currently include a charity when writing a will. After you have provided for your family, you may wish to leave a gift to the charity to help us to continue to provide the best facilities, equipment and care for patients in future. In the last two years, we received £4,400 in legacy donations. Visit www.rememberacharity.org.uk for more information.
Volunteer your time
Supporting a charity need not always be about donating money. We have more than 100 volunteers at the Trust, many of which make a real difference to raising money and awareness for the charity. Volunteering can also be really fun and rewarding. For more information, please contact Suzanne Rutter in the Charity Office on 01709 426821.
Whether it’s a wedding, christening or a significant birthday – why not include our charity in your celebrations? You could help boost the charity by asking for donations instead of gifts or flowers.
Thanks to the generosity of colleagues, volunteers and fundraisers we have raised more than £46,700 online since 2009. Donations can be made online via www.justgiving.com/rhcgc. Thank you!
The best way to fundraise at work and to inspire your charitable events throughout the year is to nominate the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity as your Charity of the Year.
By choosing us as your Charity of the Year, you can galvanise support from your workforce and give something back to the community you work in. Showing you care about local charities and good causes is a great way of recruiting like-minded compassionate and caring employees as well as fulfilling your corporate social responsibilities. Showing you care about the NHS locally is also a great way of boosting your company’s reputation and gaining some publicity for your firm.
We appreciate all your donations - whether you could simply provide a raffle voucher or sponsor a Purple Butterfly room, which help provide dignity, space and privacy for patients nearing the end of their lives, and their families.
For more information about how you can support the charity please contact us on 01709 426821 or email Charity@rothgen.nhs.uk.
