Over 150 children received an Easter surprise to brighten up their hospital stay, thanks to the generous Easter egg donations from Gripple staff.
The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust recently welcomed local company, Gripple Ltd, who have committed to actively raise funds for Dr Ted’s Children’s Appeal, part of the Rotherham Hospital Charity.
Sheffield award-winning company, Gripple develops wire joining and tensioning devices for agricultural fencing, trellising, anchoring, hanger systems and more.
Since Christmas 2014, Martin Hartley, Site Leader at Gripple, and his colleagues have already raised and donated over £2,000 for the Dr Ted’s Children’s Appeal.
Martin visited the Children’s Ward with his colleagues this Easter and says: “Gripple has selected the Rotherham Hospital Charity’s Dr Ted’s Children’s Appeal as its chosen charity for 2015/16 and we are proud to be supporting the charity’s aim to enhance the environment and facilities for children cared for at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. This appeal is very personal to me and Gripple is planning on undertaking some exciting fundraising activities to continue to support this great cause.”
Tracy Williams, Charity Development Officer at the Trust says: “We are extremely grateful for the support from Gripple for the Dr Ted’s Children’s Appeal; they have done a tremendous amount already and continue to support us with more fundraising activities.”
