We have local teams who work across the Rotherham borough. We also have specialist midwives who can give support in the community for women and families who need additional support due to substance misuse, age ect.
When you find out you are pregnant, a local midwife will take responsibility for your care and will be your named contact usually up to 14 days after you give birth, although you may also be seen by other members of the team.
Your midwife is your first port of call for any questions or enquiries. The community midwifery service operates for pregnant women from 9.00am to 5.00pm, seven days a week. Outside of these times we operate an on-call service for those families wanting a home-birth. For all other concerns about yourself or your pregnancy/baby, you can call our Triage Team on 01709 427700.
We publish a downloadable information leaflet; Postnatal Information.
