A specialist service which provides assessment and treatment of foot, ankle and some lower limb conditions, typically involving advice, insoles, orthoses or splints.

Length of appointment
Out-patient appointments are typically 30 minutes.
What to bring
- Patients should attend in appropriate sensible footwear with an adjustable fastening (no slip on shoes).
- A full list of medication.
What to expect
Initial assessment is carried out in clinic by a member of the biomechanics team.
Booking your first appointment
Appointments are usually made by your GP (through a system called Choose and Book) and the appointment will be given to you at the time.
If your GP or other health professional sends a referral to the service we will contact you by post.

What to do if you cannot attend

Patients failing to attend for appointments without notification will be discharged.

Parking at the Rotherham Community Health Centre is currently free. The car park can get busy. Patients should allow additional time for this to ensure they arrive in good time for their appointment.
