A Trust apprentice has
won a top award from RNN College.
Emma Thurston, a Clinical Support
Assistant in the Photopheresis Unit, received the
Principal’s Award last term for being a fantastic role model for other
students.
Graham Travis,
Learning & Development – Apprenticeship Manager, said Emma was 14 months
into a Senior Healthcare Support Worker Level 3 apprenticeship.
He said: “Emma has
made fantastic progress through a difficult time for all staff at the Trust.
She is constantly excelling in her work and is on target for her end-point
assessment in the New Year. The College always give great feedback on Emma’s
commitment and hard work, which has contributed in her winning this accolade.
Congratulations Emma!”
Wendy Flynn,
Workplace Tutor at RNN Group, said: “Emma has made great strides with her
approach to her college work and has received some excellent feedback from her
manager and her matron about her workplace skills and professionalism.”
Emma said she was
overwhelmed by everyone’s kind words.
She added: “When
Wendy contacted me with the news I honestly couldn’t believe it. During these
difficult times, it has been hard for everyone but we have all pulled together
and will continue to do so. My tutor Wendy Flynn has been the best support
throughout the course and I’m so grateful for putting me forward for this it
means a lot.”
