Baby memorial service

Memorial candle

The Chaplaincy team at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is holding its annual baby memorial service at 3pm on Saturday 13 October 2018 in the Chapel on C level of Rotherham Hospital.

The memorial service, which will last around 25 minutes, is offered as a time for reflection and mutual support for bereaved parents and their families. 

It will be both multi-faith and non-religious and will include the opportunity to light a candle in memory. For those unable to attend, a candle can be lit on their behalf.

Bereaved parents will also have the opportunity to have a personal conversation with a member of the Chaplaincy team in a separate area. Refreshments will be provided after the service.

Due to the nature of the service, it has proved helpful to others that children do not attend, however advice and support can be offered for bereavement issues affecting children.
