Cancelled appointments at Rotherham Hospital - Thursday 1 March and Friday 2 March

01 Mar 2018 11:08:50

Due to the current severe weather conditions, and in line with general safety advice which is being issued to the public around travelling, we are advising patients not to attend the hospital site unless they require urgent or emergency care. This will allow the hospital to prioritise these urgent and emergency cases and ensure that those people most in need at this time get the best possible care.

Therefore, we are advising all patients who have an outpatient appointment today and tomorrow (Thursday 1st March and Friday 2nd March) not to attend the hospital for this appointment. We are contacting patients directly to advise them of this.

We are aware that there will be patients who must attend their appointments due to their condition and/or specific care needs and we have already identified those patients, with appointments today or tomorrow, and have contacted them personally . If you have not heard from us and you believe you do need to be seen, then please call the Contact Centre on 01709 427555 and we will ensure a clinician reviews your care.

If we are unable to contact you, and you do not believe you need to be seen today or tomorrow, then please do not attend and we will be in touch to rearrange your appointment.

Please check our website over the next 48 hours for the latest information.
