Four Rotherham Teams Highlighted in National Shortlist

Health services in Rotherham have yet again received national acclaim by making it to the final stages of this year’s HSJ Awards.

Four of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust’s innovative initiatives have been named in the shortlist for the awards, now in their 39th year. The awards set out to “produce a roll call of the best organisations, teams and people in the NHS and the wider health sector” 

The four TRFT teams nominated are:

  • Dietitians Do Tubes - Rotherham Enteral Tube Feeding Service - Acute or Specialist Service Redesign Initiative (North/Midlands/East Award
  • Reducing mortality in the fractured neck of femur pathway - Patient Safety Award
  • The Radiology Advanced and Consultant AHP service redesign initiative - Workforce Initiative of the Year Award
  • The Rotherham health and care a digital ecosystem – digital health and care collaboration - Connecting services and Information Award

Chris Preston, Deputy Chief Executive of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement for our teams to make it to the final stages of the HSJ Awards. Having spoken to a number of the nominees, I understand just how much hard work, dedication and care has gone into making these projects as successful as they are.

“I’m immensely proud of all those involved in developing these initiatives and look forward to seeing our colleagues’ names in lights at the awards ceremony. The recognition is very well deserved.”

Winners will be announced at a ceremony in November.
