Grab your tinsel and wear your festive jumper with pride – the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity
will be hosting its annual Charity Christmas Fair this December.
The event will be held at Rotherham Hospital in Community Corner between 10am and 3pm on Tuesday 5 December – and we need your support!
Whether you’re a star baker, a crafty Christmas card maker, would like to hold a raffle or have a unique fundraising idea – the charity is looking for volunteer fundraisers to host stalls. The Charity is also appealing for donations of Christmas selection boxes for Santa to surprise children with at the event.
Gabby Atmarow, Chair of the Charitable Funds Committee, said: “The festive season is such a special time of year for many people but we know that it can also be a struggle for those who are staying in hospital or who are visiting their loved ones. We hope our Charity Christmas Fair brings a little sparkle to people’s lives.
“Our amazing volunteers have already pledged to sell home-made ca kes, Christmas cards, decorations, woolly blankets, crafts and books – but the more the merrier! Children from Busy Bees Nursery will be singing carols and there will be a host of raffle and tombola prizes to win. Children, whether they are being treated at Rotherham Hospital, visiting loved ones or are members of the community, can also visit Santa.
“Whether you can host a fundraising stall, donate a selection box or pop along to buy a raffle ticket or some cake, we would really appreciate your support.”
All the money raised at the event will help fund equipment and resources to benefit patients and their families cared for by The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
