Keppel Orthopaedic Elective Ward
The Keppel Ward at Rotherham Hospital is most commonly utilised for patients having planned/elective surgery which consists of joint replacement. The ward is a 27 bed unit, with an additional GP assessment room for direct GP referrals. The main focus of Keppel is to ensure that all of our patients have an excellent patient experience.
The ward team and Ward Manager, Lee White, are constantly striving for perfection in the healthcare that they deliver. This has been recognised by the many patients who have nominated the team for the annual staff awards. The team/ward has won the Patients Top Team award three years out of four and the Chairman’s award once within this period.
The average length of stay on the Keppel Ward is between 3 and 5 days and the team will endeavour to get patients home as quickly and safely as possible.
Lee White, as the Senior Charge Nurse on the ward, takes the responsibility to ensure that there is a dedicated team of Allied Health Professionals, that not only deliver excellent patient care, but also have a desire to go the extra mile in order to make the patients stay in hospital a pleasant experience.
The Keppel Ward is located on Level D, between junctions 3 and 4 in the hospital. If you have any ward specific enquires, such as the ward opening times, please contact the Keppel Ward on 01709 424417.
