The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has sent in their nominations for the Public Recognition Award; helping to celebrate excellence in healthcare in their 2015 PROUD Awards.
Thanks to an incredible response from members of the public and Trust colleagues, 52 individuals and teams have been shortlisted with a chance to receive an award at the Trust’s ceremony on the 4 November. All of the 334 nominations received are also to be recognised by a personal letter to each nominee, from the Trust’s Chief Executive, Louise Barnett or Chairman, Martin Havenhand.
We have received over 179 nominations in the Public Recognition category alone, helping us to identify exceptional NHS colleagues who pull out all the stops to deliver first class community and hospital services across our borough, and we are now delighted to announce the shortlist:
• Breast Care Nurses, Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialists
• Angela Morris, Reception Scarbrough Suite
• Maggie Deakin, Nurse Specialist in Gynaecology
• Rachael Kay, District Nursing, Thurcroft
• Community Dentists, Flying Scotsman Centre Doncaster
Lynne Waters, Director of Human Resources at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Our Public Recognition Award reflects the importance that the Trust places in high quality services and patient care and it has been fantastic to read all of your nominations for the teams and individuals whose care and support you have really valued. I am looking forward to the ceremony and would like to thank all those people who took the time to nominate.”
Alongside the PROUD Awards ceremony, in November, the Trust will run a week of celebration to mark the dedication and achievements of all those at the Trust. The week of events will include a ceremony in recognition of learning for those who have completed qualifications over the last year, a ‘thank you’ scheme and long service celebrations.
