The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to announce the shortlist for its 2014 PROUD Awards.
Thanks to a fantastic response from members of the public and Trust staff, 32 individuals and teams have been shortlisted and are set to receive winners’ and runner up awards at the Trust’s in-house ceremony on the 19th November.
All of the 269 individuals and teams nominated are also to be recognised by a personal letter from the Trust’s Chief Executive, Louise Barnett or Chairman, Martin Havenhand.
Working alongside the Rotherham Advertiser, this year the Trust has for the first time introduced a Public Recognition category of its PROUD Awards and due to the Advertiser’s support, an amazing 108 nominations were submitted under this category. Those shortlisted in the Public Recognition Category are:
• Bev Belcher - Health Care Assistant, Keppel Ward - Rotherham Hospital
• Sarah Briggs and Angela Duffy, Rotherham Community Heart Specialist Nurses
• Wendy Manterfield – Senior Health Care Assistant, Stroke Unit - Rotherham Hospital
Lynne Waters, TRFT’s Director of Human Resources, said: “The quality of the PROUD Award submissions this year is astounding.
“It’s been humbling to read the nominations and it’s clear that our patients and members of the public truly value the services we provide. I’m looking forward to the ceremony and would like to thank all those people who took the time to nominate.”
The shortlisting process was carried out by a committee of TRFT staff who, alongside members of the Trust Board, Non-executive Directors and Governors, deliberated over the nominations to pick the final contenders.
The Advertiser’s Editor, Andrew Mosely, will also attend the Awards ceremony in person to present the Public Recognition Award.
