As part of ‘Make May Purple’ Action on Stroke month, on Tuesday
(22 May) the Stroke Team and colleagues at the Trust held a sing-along event in Rotherham Hospital Main Entrance.
The Stroke Team, Stroke survivors and other Trust colleagues took
part in the singing event with an aim to promote wellbeing after a stroke
and share the positive message about multidisciplinary working; members of the
whole MDT got involved!
The Stroke Association were also on hand, hosting a health
information stand to promote health after a stroke and perform blood pressure
Sedman, Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist in the Stroke Rehabilitation
Team, said: “A huge thank you to the whole stroke team in Rotherham and the
Stroke Association for all the amazing events organised throughout May to raise
awareness of stroke.
special ‘Make May Purple’ Rotherham Rocks are an on-going event which can be
seen on Facebook, along with further
stop shift sessions on Tuesday 29 May at the hospital and a Motown evening at
Wickersley Social Club on Friday 25 May."
