Each year during Volunteers' Week (1-7 June), and Rotherham’s Volunteer Month, we take the opportunity to say a special thank you to our volunteers and showcase their valuable contribution to providing excellent services at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust!
Throughout this week there have been a number of events taking place including:
The Voluntary Action Rotherham Volunteers Walk
Louise Barnett, Chief Executive at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, wished our volunteers well for their walk from Rotherham Hospital to All Saints Square and Clifton Park. It was a fantastic day, enjoyed by over 100 volunteers in Rotherham!
Volunteer Charity Event
Our volunteers hosted a tombola, book and plant sale with Rotherham in Root, raising over £110 for our Rotherham Hospital Charity's Purple Butterfly Appeal.
Volunteer Joint Recruitment & Celebration Event
The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust hosted a joint event with Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR) as part of the Volunteers' Month 2015 celebrations in Rotherham.
The Trust’s Volunteer Service and VAR were joined by other organisations and community groups who involve volunteers in the delivery of activities or services for community benefit. The event was a huge success, recognising the contribution which volunteers make to the town, raising the profile of volunteering in Rotherham and inspiring more people to become a volunteer.
