Community Health imageOn 1st April 2011, many services provided by Rotherham Community Health Services (RCHS) and Doncaster Dental Care merged with The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust (TRFT) to form a new integrated health care organisation.

Although the majority of staff and service bases will stay as they currently are, the Trust will now manage care for children and young people, staying healthy, planned care and care for patients with long term conditions in Rotherham.

Chief of Community Services Andy Irvine says: “I’m really excited about the possibilities and new opportunities this merger will bring and I’m pleased to welcome our new colleagues from the community in Rotherham and Doncaster. Our aim is to deliver quality care to patients whenever and wherever they need it most.By working closely with health professionals to deliver services in the community, we will be able to give people better care more quickly and efficiently. It’s a really exciting time for the whole organisation.“
