What we do
The Looked After Children service aims to improve the health of looked after children and young people in the care of the Rotherham Local Authority. We support parents, foster carers and residential workers to understand their children’s health needs and access health services.
The team works in partnership with colleagues in statutory and voluntary services, social care, health and education in order to assist looked after children and young people to achieve the best possible health.
Where we work
We visit children’s or young people’s homes, Rotherham’s children’s homes, foster carers or parent’s homes, Social Services, GP Practices, Children’s Centres, Health Centres and clinics and the Hospital site.
How to access the services
There is an informal referral process by telephone, letter or in person and we actively encourage self-referral from children, young people and their carers. Please contact us using the details to the right.
