Winter illnesses and visiting patients in hospital

We are seeing the usual annual increase in winter illnesses, particularly diarrhoea and vomiting.

It's important that patients in the hospital can still receive visitors, however visitors must wash their hands on entering and exiting wards. There should only be two visitors per bed space at any one time.

If you are unwell or have any symptoms of nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, chills or muscle aches, you should not visit.
