In this edition you can read all about how our new MRI scanner is helping us hit our targets and making big improvements for critical care patients.

If you need urgent medical attention, it’s likely that you will visit our Urgent and Emergency Care Centre (UECC). But did you know that everybody who comes to our UECC is put into one of five streams? Learn all about it in our ‘Understanding UECC’ article (page 3).

In October 2020, the NHS made a commitment to become the first health service in the world to commit to delivering a net zero national health system. Read about how our Green Plan is getting us closer to that target (page 4).

On page 5, we spotlight some our administrators to bring you all the information you need to join one of our incredible ‘behind the scenes’ teams!

Programme Manager for Breast Screening, Holly Scotson, is encouraging women to book their mammograms and we learn a little bit more about how our Tobacco Treatment Advisors can get you started on your smoke-free journey (page 6).

Is 2023 the year to tick some things off your bucket list? Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity are looking for daredevils to take on some exciting fundraising challenges (page 7).

And don’t forget, it’s that time of year when we want your nominations! We’re celebrating our colleagues who go above and beyond to make sure our patients receive the best care possible. If you have a healthcare hero you think deserves an award, use the nomination form on page 8 to let us know!

Your Health is just one of the ways we keep our members informed of the latest news from around the Trust. If you want to get more involved with your local health services, there are details of how to become a Member or stand for election as a Governor, on page 2.
