More than 170 staff from The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust recently attended the annual Learning and Development Awards and were recognised for their learning over the last year.
Chairman Margaret Oldfield and Chief Executive Brian James presented the awards at a ceremony, in the Lecture Theatre at Rotherham Hospital.
The awards celebrate the achievements of staff who have improved their skills or gained qualifications in a range of subjects including literacy and numeracy, IT, team leading, business administration, health and social care, support services, pharmacy services, customer services, and excellence in management.
Learning and Development Manager Andrew Broadhead says: “So many Trust staff have shown a big commitment to improving and learning new skills this year which is a great achievement. Investing in our people not only enhances the skills of individuals, but also our ability to improve our service to patients. The Trust is keen to continue to invest in the development of staff and as part of this, it is important to see people being recognised for their learning. Hopefully even more people will take part next year.”
