Brian James and Lord Carter of Coles meet about health reform issues

01 Nov 2011 15:39:37

Lord Carter of Coles met with The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust’s Chief Executive, Brian James recently to discuss a range of issues around health service reform and its impact on the NHS at a local level.

Lord Carter holds a number of eminent roles nationally and is well known for his advice to Government on Pathology Services (the Carter Reviews), but equally as an advisor on a wide range of NHS topics.

Lord Carter is also Chairman of McKesson, the international computer company. Lord Carter said of his visit “I enjoy coming to Rotherham and meeting Brian which I have done several times now over the past few years – he always has his finger on the pulse and indeed seems to be able to pre-empt the future with alarming accuracy. I thoroughly enjoy our sessions and we exchange views on a wide range of health related topics.”
