The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust Volunteers gathered at the end of 2011 to celebrate and be recognised for the time they have generously given to the Trust’s departments throughout the year.
Volunteers took the opportunity to meet each other and were joined by the Trust’s Chairman, Peter Lee, who thanked them for their contributions.
Peter Commented: “Since the beginning of my time at the Trust, I have visited some of our wards and departments and have been staggered by the support given by Volunteers. Our Volunteers do an outstanding job to provide ‘human care’ by giving time, compassion and assistance to patients, next of kin and carers. Thank you. Your help means so much and is vital.”
Peter Lee also led the group in a game of bingo and talked to Volunteers over refreshments and a slice of celebratory cake, served by the Community Involvement team.
Each Volunteer was also presented with a personalised 2012 diary which included a personal message from Peter Lee.
