Schoolgirls raise funds for Charity

27 Mar 2012 14:33:06

Two Rotherham Youngsters have shown their caring side by raising money for the Rotherham Hospital Charity.

Schoolgirls Amy Blain and Maysa Omar, both aged 12, held a series of events at their school including a raffle.

The girls’ efforts raised a fantastic £28.50 for Rotherham Hospital Charity’s Dr Ted’s Children’s Appeal which helps to provide support for young people visiting The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Ted’s Children’s Appeal will be formerly launched by the Trust in April. Please look out for further details.

If you would like to raise funds for Rotherham Hospital Charity or for more information about the charity and its appeals contact Tracy Williams on 01709 427589 or email: tracy.williams@rothgen.nhs.uk.

The Dr Ted Children’s Appeal and Rotherham Hospital Charity are part of Rotherham Health Foundation:

Rotherham Health Foundation is a registered charity (charity ref: 1054407) and is managed by a Charitable Funds Committee. The Charity, which also has a working name of Rotherham Hospital Charity, currently runs a number of appeals including the Purple Butterfly Appeal, which raises funds to help enhance the care given at the end of life, and the Dr Ted Appeal, which aims to raise funds to further improve the experience of children and families using Trust services.
