The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust’s Workplace Health & Wellbeing Centre (WHWB) has recently been awarded the prestigious Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service (SEQOHS) accreditation.
WHWB provides occupational health services for over 30 external organisations, ranging from public, private and third sector organisations and this accolade places the service in the national elite of Occupational Health (OH) providers in the UK, there are only 30 NHS occupational health services to receive this accreditation.
Robert Quick, Associate Director at WHWB says: “The team of OH experts at WHWB can assist local employers in considering how best to tackle the problems associated with absenteeism, employee health and wellbeing, as for many organisations these issues have grown in recent years. Currently the centre provides bespoke occupational health and wellbeing services to a wide range of employers in South Yorkshire and the East Midlands, ranging from large employers to SMEs.”
As one of the most successful and progressive occupational health providers in the region, WHWB provides a customer-focused and responsive service to local employers. The nurse led service provides the quality and assurance you would expect from a large NHS organisation and the income generated from contracts is re-invested back into local NHS services. Clients of WHWB include Rotherham Council, local hospices, colleges, schools, private employers and voluntary sector organisations.
