If you become unwell or are injured you need to make sure you choose the right NHS service to get the best and most appropriate treatment for you. To help yourself and our NHS services visit the Rotherham NHS Clinical Commissioning Group Choose Well website to find out what service can offer you the best help.
If you're unsure where to go, or need help assessing how urgently treatment is needed, NHS Direct is always available on 0845 4647.
A&E is for urgent cases only
Please remember that our Accident & Emergency (A&E) department is for people with serious, life-threatening injuries or illness requiring immediate treatment.
During peak times and especially over holiday periods, A&E can be very busy so by choosing wisely you can ensure that our A&E service can give full attention to the serious emergency cases.
Patients with long standing problems or minor illnesses should seek help from other areas such as their GP, Rotherham NHS Walk in Centre, Pharmacist or NHS Direct (0845 4647).
