Wednesday 8th October 2014 will be the last opportunity of 2014 for members of the Trust and public to come and meet the Governors of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust in person.
The Trust, which runs Rotherham Hospital, will hold its quarterly Governors’ Surgery sessions between 9am and 11am and again from 3pm to 5pm, both in the main entrance of Rotherham Hospital and the reception area of Rotherham Community Health Centre on Greasborough Street, near to the town centre.
Rebecca Ferguson, Membership Officer at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, said: “By listening to the views and experiences of our patients, visitors and members of staff, our Governors are able to fully represent their constituents and influence Trust decision making and developments through their quarterly Council of Governors meetings.”
The Governors’ Surgery will be followed by the Trust’s Council of Governors meeting on Wednesday 15th October, starting at 5.15pm in the Lecture Theatre on Level D at Rotherham Hospital, Moorgate Road.
Members of the Trust and public are invited to attend these meetings as observers and there is an opportunity at the end to ask any questions about any of the items discussed.
Membership of the Trust is free and open to everyone aged 16 or over. Membership allows people to keep-up-to-date with Trust news, receive invitations to events and become eligible to vote, or stand in the Council of Governors elections.
Rebecca added: “Anyone is welcome to come along find out about the work our Governors do, talk to them about Trust service developments and what they want from Trust membership.”
