Martin Havenhand, Trust Chairman, Jo Farey, Volunteer Coordinator and Tracy Williams, Fundraiser, with eight of our charity volunteers.
Last week the Chairman of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, along with colleagues from our volunteer service and Trust charity, hosted a special thank you lunch with volunteers who continue to support us in raising funds for Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity.
Throughout the winter period alone, volunteers supported the charity with the sale of cards, merchandise and raffle tickets, helping to raise over £3000 for the benefit of patients at our Trust.
Our charity volunteers give their time, not only to support the charity, but also to support colleagues and our various hospital and community services such as on the Welcome Desk and the Patients’ Library trolley visiting hospital wards.
Martin Havenhand, Chairman of the Trust, said: “I would just like to say thank you to our volunteers, who give to us the most valuable thing they have, their time.
“The support they offer to colleagues at the Trust and patients visiting both hospital and community services, is invaluable. On behalf of the Board, I would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to our charity volunteers, who not only volunteer regularly as part of their day-to-day volunteer roles, but also support the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity in raising funds for our charitable appeals.”
A special thank you message and best wishes were also shared from Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Charitable Funds Committee, Gabrielle Atmarow. #TRFTPROUD
