Rotherham Hospital seek views on Macmillan Support Group

02 Mar 2016 13:55:42

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust’s Haematology Service is seeking views on a Macmillan Cancer Support Group for patients and their carers’.

An open evening on Thursday 10 March, 6-8pm on Ward A6 at Rotherham Hospital will be held to gauge interest and give people the opportunity put ideas forward in what form the support group would take.

Madeline Ward, Clinical Nurse Specialist at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, said:

“We are currently working with Macmillan to put forward a potential support group for any anyone currently under our care with a blood related cancer diagnosis.

“The group would give both patients and carers the opportunity to share experiences and give each other on going support.”

The event will be held on an informal basis with hot drinks and refreshments provided.

For more information contact Madeline Ward or Louise Ollivant on 01709 426532.
