A nurse from The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust attended parliament last week to talk about current medical challenges facing heart failure patients in the UK.
Sarah Briggs, Heart Failure Specialist, spoke in front of MPs to raise awareness of heart failure and improve its diagnosis and treatment.
Sarah said: “It was a fantastic opportunity to represent heart failure specialist nurses across the country and to share our specific heart failure service in Rotherham with members of parliament.
“I hope this will have a positive impact on our politicians making national recommendations for heart failure management.”
The parliamentary inquiry aims to work with patients, health care professionals, the Government and NHS England to identify ways to improve the outcomes and experience for people with heart failure, and their families and carers.
