What we do
The Safeguarding Children Health Team have a borough-wide responsibility to ensure that The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust staff and Children and Young People’s Services Community staff are advised, trained and supervised to recognise safeguarding issues, abuse or neglect, and are aware of the correct process to follow, in order to protect children and young people.
We deliver a district-wide training programme in relation to all aspects of safeguarding, ensuring training fits in effectively with multi-agency training.
We are also involved with child protection case conferences and support staff through court proceedings and court attendance.
We also provide record management of all vulnerable children moving in and out of Rotherham.
