The Medical Records Library Team were our 2015 winners of the Unsung Hero Award at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust’s annual PROUD Awards.

The Unsung Hero is awarded to an individual or team who make an outstanding contribution to the work that they do, and /or who consistently support those around them. The Medical Records Library Team were selected for this award for their collective efforts in supporting colleagues at the Trust, not only with the use of the library but also in ‘urgent’ situations.

Their nominator said: “Unsung heroes – this describes each and every member of the team I have met so far. I have great admiration for this team. They are consistently supporting every member of staff, and in turn every patient.

“From first meeting the team, I have felt supported. I have been welcomed, trained and received guidance on the best ways to use the library. When there have been emergencies, I have seen the entire team drop their workload and all come together to help."

The team were extremely proud to win this award. They said: “As a team across Medical Records we are extremely proud to have not only been nominated for this award but to have won it as well. It is really great to know that our efforts to deliver a high quality service at all times has not gone un-noticed.”

Dr Anna Muncaster, Dermatology Consultant, also expressed her congratulations and appreciation for the support of Medical Records Library Team. See what she said here: https://youtu.be/9peO3di_zZw

Congratulations also to Rodrigo Baeza, HCA in Theatres (Orthopaedics), who was the 2015 ‘Runner up’ of the Unsung Hero Award.  #TRFTProud
