The Trust is supporting National Breastfeeding Awareness Week with accessible, expert advice and support.
The Infant Feeding Team at the Trust have been available in the main entrance of Rotherham Hospital offering friendly advice, information and support to new mums and mums-to-be.
The theme for this year is: ‘Be a friend or find a friend to support whilst breastfeeding’. This could be a mother who identifies a friend who has supported her or believed in her to breastfeed – her BFF (breastfeeding friend)! Likewise, it may also be a breastfeeding supporter, health professional, family member or friend who can identify a mother they have supported.
Get involved by taking a selfie with a breastfeeding friend and post and a short comment with #BFF2017 on either Twitter (@RotherhamNHS_FT) or Facebook (The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust).

The Big Latch On!
Join us at our Big Latch On! The big count down is on Friday 4 August at 10.30am in Clifton Park, Rotherham. This global event takes places at registered locations around the world, where women gather together to breastfeed and offer peer support to each other. Their family, friends and community join this celebration to promote and support breastfeeding – creating a lasting support network for the community. Everyone is welcome to attend, bring a picnic and arrive 30 minutes before so we can register everyone in.
