Where do we work?

The team is based at Kimberworth Place and sees children in the ‘child friendly’ gym located there. Physiotherapists also work:

In the community

They help to make sure that children with physical difficulties receive the support they need to live their lives. For this reason, members of the team are sometimes able to offer home visits and visits to schools or nurseries to help therapy become an integral part of everyday activities.

In special schools

Due to the physical needs of many of the children and young people in their care, Newman, Hilltop and Kelford Schools have regular visits from the team.

Child Development Centre (Click here for more information)

Physiotherapists may be part of the multi-disciplinary team assessing a child’s needs. This sort of assessment is offered where there are concerns about more than one area of a child’s development so a team approach is needed.
