Our amazing community in Rotherham is pulling together to support our fantastic NHS colleagues at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust during the coronavirus pandemic. We have been humbled with your requests to support our local NHS colleagues, in the community and at Rotherham Hospital - thank you!
We want to keep the general public, our patients and our staff safe, so if you are planning on bringing any donations to Rotherham Hospital, please get in touch with the Rotherham Hospital & Community Charity by contacting Suzanne Rutter, Charity Engagement and Development Manager, on 01709 426821 or via email@example.com.
The charity will be able to work with you to arrange a safe drop-off point. We can then make sure any donations are distributed fairly across our teams in the community and at Rotherham Hospital.
If you would like to help, our colleagues' 'wish list' currently includes, for example:
- iPads (these will allow our staff and patients to stay in touch with their loved ones via video messaging.)
- Hand gel/sanitiser
- Hand cream
- Refreshments; such a chocolate, fruit, breakfast bars, sandwiches, porridge and noodle pots, hot chocolate/tea/coffee and other healthy snacks
- PPE equipment (particularly long-sleeved plastic aprons)
- Children's activity books (pencils, crayons colouring and sticker books) and small individual toys for patients
You can show your support by donating to our Rotherham NHS Superheroes fundraising campaign via Just Giving here: Rotherham
You can also donate directly to our new Facebook fundraising page - 'Support
Your NHS' Fundraising Campaign
Your donations will provide vital support to staff during such challenging and unprecedented circumstances and when they really need it to the most. This could include care packages, refreshments during busy shifts as well as helping to fund health and well-being initiatives to boost morale.
