Community Corner

Main Entrance

'Community Corner' helps provide the voluntary and community sector with a platform for meeting our hospital community and help us further develop our community partnerships.

It is a dedicated display space for organisations to promote their campaigns and interact with our patients, visitors and staff. Hospital departments and clinics too are invited to showcase their health & wellbeing information during national awareness weeks.

Rotherham Hospital is a healthcare provider at the heart of the local community and equally our local community is at the very heart of everything we do.

Where is it?

Community Corner is situated within the main entrance of Rotherham Hospital.

Who can use it?

Anyone belonging to the local community who has health information or a message they would like to share with our patients, visitors and staff. For example – local voluntary, community or support groups, charities, schools, colleges, hospital departments, health interest groups and our Members & Governors.

The sale of merchandise or fundraising activities in Community Corner is, unfortunately, not encouraged. In some cases, it will be possible but only with the prior agreement of Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity and if they are based on a partnership arrangement. These will need prior approval from Suzanne Rutter, Charity Engagement and Development Manager on 01709 426821 or by email trft.charity@nhs.net.

How do I book the space?

To book Community Corner or the Health Information Area. Please contact Health Information on rgh-tr.health-info@nhs.net on 01709 427190 (tel. Mon, Tue and Thurs mornings)

Please note: The normal availability for these areas is between 10am & 4pm, most Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, unless already booked out.

Is there a charge for using the space?
No, there isn’t a charge to voluntary and community organisations but commercial partners will be invited to make a donation to Rotherham Hospital Charity.
