Services provided

The Blood Sciences department incorporates the Haematology, Immunology and Chemical Pathology laboratories. It provides a comprehensive routine and emergency out-of-hours diagnostic Blood Sciences service.

The immunology department has a single main area where most autoimmune investigations are performed. The department also uses some shared facilities / equipment / staff with the Biochemistry department used to perform more automated work including immunoglobulin estimations and allergy.

Monday - Friday: 9.00am - 5.00pm
