We're here to support you with your pre-existing diabetes, or if you develop diabetes during pregnancy. 

If you have existing diabetes and are thinking of having a baby, it is really important that you seek professional advice, ideally before you become pregnant. Gestational diabetes

Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is high blood sugar (glucose) that develops during pregnancy and usually disappears after giving birth.

Anybody can develop GDM during pregnancy but some may be at an increased risk than others.

Starting insulin

If you have been asked to start insulin, you will have been provided with information about insulin, hypos and safe driving. Diabetes UK have lots of helpful information, including a step by step video for injecting insulin.  

After the birth of your baby

It is possible to lower your chances of developing type 2 diabetes after the birth of your baby. Diabetes UK provide lots of information on the top three ways to prevent type 2 diabetes
