We are a team of professionally registered clinical photographers providing a comprehensive photographic and imaging service. The Department's principle role is to produce clinical photographs which are used to aid diagnosis, assessment and treatment. With your consent we may use these photographs for teaching, research or publication.

If you need to be photographed, you will usually visit our purpose built studio, but we regularly take photos in other parts of the hospital, such as wards, clinics and operating theatres.

The content of the clinical photographs can vary enormously, from documenting dermatitis on the back of the hand, to recording changes in the retina at the back of the eye. All photographs are now recorded digitally and processed and printed in-house.
