Services provided

Mortuary services facilitate the reception, storage and post mortem examination and viewing of deceased persons from the hospital and the community, and provide services for H.M Coroner. Three licences have been granted by the Human Tissue Authority, which cover removal of relevant material from the deceased for scheduled purposes, post mortem and the storage of the body of deceased person/ relevant material for scheduled purposes.

Opening hours

Monday - Friday: 8am - 4pm

At weekends, Bank Holidays and at all other times, the Mortuary Technician on call may be contacted through the Clinical Site Team via switchboard on 01709 820000.
