A specialist service which provides assessment and treatment of foot and ankle conditions usually involving having an operation.
Clinic times
Out-patient clinics: Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am – 5pm
Theatre: Wednesday and Friday 8am – 4pm

Length of appointment
Out-patient appointments are typically 30 minutes.
Theatre slots vary dependent upon procedure.
What to bring
- A medical history form which is sent to all new patients for completion prior to their first appointment.
- A full list of medication.
What to expect
Initial assessment is carried out in out-patients by a member of the surgical team. Not all patients referred will require surgery. All patients requiring surgery will be seen by a Podiatric Surgeon prior to theatre admission.
Booking your first appointment
Appointments are usually made by your GP (through a system called Choose and Book) and the appointment will be given to you at the time.
If your GP or other health professional sends a referral to the service we will contact you by post.

If you require transport for an appointment please let your GP know as this needs to be booked at the time of the appointment.

Please provide as much notice as possible.
Patients failing to attend for appointments without notification will be discharged.

Written pre and post operative advise literature all available on request from the department.
Any other information
Parking at the Rotherham Community Health Centre is currently free. The car park can get busy. Patients should allow additional time for this to ensure they arrive in good time for their appointment.
