Baby Loss Awareness Week 2021

The Trust will be marking Baby Loss Awareness Week this year with a live-streamed memorial at the hospital Chapel, which will be led by the Chaplaincy office.

Baby Loss Awareness Week, 9-15 October, is a chance to remember all the little ones who have sadly died over the year, and from previous years.

The Trust will be live-streaming its memorial service on Saturday, 9 October, at 3pm.

The service will be for anyone who has experienced the loss of a baby or babies. Following this there will be a remembrance at the Snowdrop Memorial Garden, time to be confirmed.

Those who have lost a baby or babies can call the Trust’s Chaplaincy office on 01709 424098 to request that their name(s) be included in the list that is read out during the memorial.

Anyone watching the memorial service from home can join in by cutting out a paper butterfly shape to write their baby's name on and decorate later, or have a candle ready to light at the same time as the ones during the service.

You can watch the memorial service live on Facebook at 3pm, 9 October, by visiting the Trust’s Facebook page.
