The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust Proud Awards 2022

Proud Awards 2022 AMU

It was an evening of celebration and elation at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust’s annual Proud Awards last week.

This year saw the return of the main event after two years of virtual awards ceremonies. With Covid-19 precautions in place, staff were able to celebrate each other’s achievements and honour those who have gone above and beyond to help deliver outstanding patient care. The awards were also an opportunity to applaud colleagues’ long service, with a special recognition for those who have reached the 40 year milestone!

This year there were three new categories introduced as part of the Excellence Awards. Each month, the Interim Chief Executive of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Richard Jenkins, announces the winners of the Excellence Awards for the individual, team and public categories, with nominations coming from colleagues and public feedback. The winners of these awards throughout the year are automatically shortlisted, with an overall winner for each category being announced at the Proud Awards ceremony.

Held at Magna, the awards were hosted by Heart FM’s Dixie, and entertainment came courtesy of the Trust’s very own Jade Elvin, who got the audience in the mood to celebrate with her rendition of ‘Can you feel the love tonight’.

Dr Richard Jenkins said: “It was wonderful to be able to celebrate colleagues with a live event this year. It’s always an honour to present awards to such deserving teams and individuals and have the opportunity to thank them for their hard work and dedication.

I would like to thank everybody who helped organise such a successful evening, particularly our event supporters Meadowhall, Dunelm, Konica Minolta, Rotherham United, Meditech, Veolia and Harvest Healthcare.”
