Immunology

The Blood Sciences department incorporates the Haematology, Immunology and Chemical Pathology laboratories. It provides a comprehensive routine and emergency out-of-hours diagnostic Blood Sciences service.

The immunology department has a single main area where most autoimmune investigations are performed. The department also uses some shared facilities, equipment and staff with the Biochemistry department used to perform more automated work including immunoglobulin estimations and allergy.
