There are many apps that are free to download that work on your smart devices such as mobile phones and electronic tablets. These are available in the app store on your device.
Some apps are completely free to use and some have additional features at a cost, sometimes called in-app purchases. When downloading apps, if you are unsure about potential costs, please consider the information about the app before downloading.
Some of these apps use sound to help with tinnitus, others have relaxation exercises, mindfulness meditation or use therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
None of these apps are intended to cure your tinnitus, but could potentially be a useful tool for you in the management of tinnitus.
None of the apps listed have been produced by the Rotherham Ear Care and Audiology Service. They are not intended to be a replacement for intervention in the Audiology Tinnitus Clinic.
There are other apps available. Not all of these apps may be compatible with the mobile device you have.
Disclaimer: The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust has had no involvement in the creation of these apps, and cannot recommend their use, however other patients have told us that they have found them useful.
