If you are diagnosed with cancer or a condition which may lead to cancer, the team looking after you will record information about you and the care you are given.

Acute Oncology Service (AOS)

AOS is a cancer patient assessment service that makes sure patients are seen by the most suitable specialist team. They have access to fast track outpatient clinics to help avoid emergency admissions. 

They work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Macmillan information and support

The Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service is based in the Health Information area of the main entrance of Rotherham Hospital. 

They can help with information on all aspects of living with cancer including:

  • access to welfare benefits and money advice
  • details of local counselling and support groups
  • emotional and practical support
  • links to other voluntary and statutory agencies
