You have had the contraceptive implant removed from your arm.
The area where your implant was removed from may feel numb for 2-3 hours after the removal. If you experience any pain, you may take painkillers e.g. Paracetamol as instructed by the manufacturer.
Keep the dressing on for 2 days.
Keep the steri-strips and wound area clean and dry for the next 5 days. You may notice some bruising on your arm when you remove the dressing. It will clear up in a few weeks’ time.

Your fertility will return to normal straight away unless you are using an alternative hormonal method of contraception.
