Personal Statement: Having trained in Cambridge and Sheffield I moved to the Trust in a locum capacity in 2000. After nine months as a locum I was appointed to a substantive post in 2001.

I have over 10 years experience of the delivery of artificial nutritional support in the form of parenteral nutrition and head up the Nutrition Support Team at Rotherham Hospital.

I have a major interest in the training of our future doctors and was appointed as Undergraduate Lead for Rotherham Hospital in 2002 and as Associate Director of Teaching with the University of Sheffield in 2004. I completed my Masters in Medical Education (Distinction) in 2005.

As a consultant in Clinical Biochemistry my main role is to ensure the timely delivery of appropriate and accurate test results on patients in the hospital and in the community. The department has excellent technical staff with a wealth of experience and modern technology to provide a high quality service to the people of Rotherham and beyond.
